Growing up has never been easy! In this day and age the pressures placed on the younger generation the skills needed to get ahead are becoming increasingly important. Pali's leadership program for 15 and 16 year-olds is designed with this in mind. Being a "Born Leader" actually takes training!!!
Pali's program is designed to show the values and attitudes of successful leaders, with the hope of inspiring our campers to identify their potential and foster a sense of purpose and responsibility. Our interactive leadership workshops will have campers practicing the essential skills of teambuilding, creative thinking and conflict resolution.
Pali's leadership program will incorporate Ground based ropes initiatives, High Ropes, Night Hikes and paintball combined with some classroom-based sessions. Pali's leadership campers will still be just that... campers! They will fully participate in our afternoon electives and evening activities.

Counselors developed through the camper ranks offer camps great value. The love and devotion for a summer camp developed as a camper cannot be matched. The Counselor In Training Program is designed for campers aged 16 who are interested in working at a summer camp as a counselor.
Our CIT's will be given an orientation similar to that given to our camp counselors. It will include classes in Age Characteristics, Counseling Techniques, Group Dynamics, Organizational Skills, Basic First Aid and CPR training.
Our CIT's will be given hands-on experience working with our younger cabins under the direct supervision of our experienced cabin counselors. The CIT participants will also design, plan and execute an afternoon elective activity as well as assist the evening program staff with the set-up and implementation of the Friday Night Dance!!!
JUNIOR COUNSELOR - Limited enrollment.
Junior Counselors at Pali Overnight Adventures are 17 years of age. They will be successful alumni of the CIT program. By completing the Junior Counselor Program, our successful candidates will be eligible to be a regular counselor at the age of 18. Junior Counselors will share the responsibility of a cabin group and assist in the instruction of our campers at an assigned specialty. If you are interested in the Junior Counselor program, please write a letter to the Camp Director explaining why you would make a great camp counselor.
